Representative engagements
Litigation:
- Business valuation and damage analysis allegedly suffered by a transportation company resulting from the cancellation of a multi-year transportation contract by a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company. Engagement entailed calculation of valuation of the business immediately prior to the contract cancellation and the valuation of the business after the contract cancellation in the determination of the diminution of value to the enterprise and the related damages. Engagement entailed analysis of contracts, financial statements, issuance of valuation opinions and deposition and trial testimony.
- Valuation analysis of damages allegedly caused by a wireless
carrier as a result of their alleged unfair pricing interference
with a retail cellular reseller. Alleged damages exceeded $1 billion
and involved analyses of multiple wireless companies during the
damage period. Analysis included review of business valuation
and economic damages calculated, financial statements of wireless
companies, financial statements of reseller and numerous studies
performed by marketing and economic experts.
- Valuation of multiple construction, real estate development, excavation and related entities in connection with a shareholder dispute. Engagement consisted of valuing each entity and advising the client of the tax consequences associated with the division of the entities among the shareholders and advisory services in connection with the ultimate structuring of the division of the related properties on a tax efficient basis.

- Valuation of multi-state door manufacturer in connection with the estate planning and creation of a defective grantor trusts.
- Valuation of real estate partnership in connection with the estate planning of the general partners.
- Valuation of a family limited partnership in connection with estate planning of the certain family members and a gifting program.
- Valuation of a printing company and related real estate entities in connection with the estate return filing.
- Valuation of a manufacturing company in connection with the company's election to be taxed as an S corporation to determine the existence and amount of built in gains.
