POSITION: Finance Manager SALARY: $85K - $115K
LOCATION: Beverly Hills, CA
Our client is private equity firm specializing in the acquisition, renovation, and management of commercial and multi-family properties. Because of extraordinary growth, they are looking to hire a Finance Manager with department management experience and multi-family accounting experience to head up the corporate accounting department in Beverly Hills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor bank accounts, cash flows and debt schedules; manage disbursals and fund transfers; and report to the President on the company's overall financial position.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to managers to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Monitor accounting controls and develop and coordinate internal audit process.
- Analyze and manage the company's tax liabilities and ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax reports.
- Coordinate the generation and issuance of monthly investor reports including financial statements and analyses for each of the company's assets.
- Respond to investor's requests for information.
- Improve departmental performance by evaluating the effectiveness of work flows and procedures and including staff in planning and facilitating improvements.
- Work with Bookkeeper to ensure proper expense accounting, reconciliations and monthly closings.
- Maintain and/or upgrade accounting software to ensure continuity of operations.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise three employees in the Accounting Department.
- Provide leadership to staff by setting expectations, delegating work, monitoring progress, and providing performance feedback and training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Eight to ten years of experience in Accounting/Finance generating and analyzing financial statements and reporting information directly to senior management.
- Minimum of four years of supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's degree plus CMA or CPA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience with accounting software (Yardi preferred).
- Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency with other MS Office software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
