Growing Sports & Entertainment Company searching for an experienced Asst. Controller to join their team. Position will report directly to the Controller and will assist in the coordination of daily accounting functions, month-end and year-end closing process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate month-end closing and preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Coordinates year-end closing and annual financial audits of company's accounts, ensuring that all records for external audits are prepared and in order for audit.
• Establishes and maintains internal control procedures.

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance and 4+ years of professional experience.
• Public accounting/auditing experience highly desired, CPA a plus.
• Experience in account reconciliation and forensic accounting.
• Experience with Great Plains preferred.
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Effective multi-tasker with ability to focus on key priorities.
• Ability to build effective working relationships while working as part of a team.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills required.
• Detailed oriented
• Quick learner
• Takes initiative
