Michael D. Feinstein
Michael D. Feinstein, Principal, CPA, CVA, CFE, is the Director of Stonefield Josephson's Audit and Assurance Services Group. Michael is the senior audit and accounting officer responsible for the system of quality control applicable to all audit, accounting and consulting services provided by the firm, and concurring reviews of attest engagements. He specializes in all aspects related to SEC and non-SEC accounting matters with a current focus on implementation of the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Michael has specialized expertise in non-regulated financial institutions, the real estate and construction industries, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and capital access. He has been responsible for the audits of both public and privately held businesses, operations audits, special investigations and litigation consulting activities. He has over thirty-seven years experience in public accounting with extensive experience in implementing the system of quality control over the activities of a large national and large local CPA firm.
Michael has litigation consulting expertise, with emphasis on complex business litigation, insolvency, business valuation, real estate and accountants' legal liability. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst emphasizing business valuation in areas of bankruptcy, shareholder disputes and mergers and acquisitions. Michael also has expertise as a review appraiser of real estate appraisals. In addition, he is a Certified Fraud Examiner in all areas of employee dishonesty and white collar crime.
