| Burton H. Marcus
Burton H. Marcus, Ph.D., ASA, Director of Valuation, Litigation, Forensic and Advisory Services at Stonefield Josephson, Inc., has been a business and litigation consultant to regional, national, and international companies for thirty years, drawing from the fields of marketing, management, finance, and economics. Before devoting his total efforts to business valuation and consulting, Dr. Marcus was a full-time member of the faculty of the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California, where he now holds emeritus status.
Dr. Marcus advises on business matters requiring the determination of entity value, economic damages, diminished goodwill, and management restructuring plans on matters relating to business purchases and sales, division spin-offs, dissenting shareholder disputes, eminent domain proceedings, estate planning, marital and partnership dissolutions, and other issues. His practice also focuses on business strategy, product development, business plan development, and market and competitive analysis for manufacturing, retail, wholesale, and service businesses.
Dr. Marcus has testified as an expert witness in state and federal court cases involving such issues as entity value, unfair competition, fraud and mismanagement, business interruption, intellectual property infringement, and breach of contract. Dr. Marcus is the author of many articles and several college textbooks.
