| Dutch Oven Cobbler
"I like cooking the Dutch oven cobbler when I'm out with my wife or friends camping. It's the perfect treat to enjoy by a campfire."

2 medium-sized cans of pie filling, (apple, peach, cherry or berry)
1 box of yellow or white cake mix
Butter or margarine
- Grease the bottom of Dutch oven with butter and pour cans of pie filling into the greased Dutch oven.
- Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly on top of the fruit and pie filling.
- Add butter or margarine randomly across the surface of cake mix and cover with lid.
- Carefully lift the Dutch oven using the wire handle and lower it onto a bed of hot coals. Let cook between 25-35 minutes.
- Using gloves and tongs, lift about 8-12 hot coals onto the lid of the Dutch oven and spread across evenly. Let cook between 25-35 minutes.
- Remove coals with gloves and tongs after about 30 minutes. Lift lid and serve.

Spiced Apple Cider
1/2 gallon apple cider
1 cup orange juice
2 fresh cinnamon sticks
1 cup cranberry juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
Put all ingredients in Dutch oven pot. Heat on the stove and serve.
